It is amazingly
difficult to be brief about something so close to our hearts. As a parent you
have many concerns for your child and one of them is education. You want the
best for your child but can’t always get it the ‘regular’ school way. This
is where we feel Susan Kidd excels. If for whatever reason your child is not
functioning at his or her optimum we feel Susan can help.
Nowhere else that we tried for several
years could we find the 'one-on-one' attention that our child needed. The lecture
style and multitude of distractions made every school day a test of unimaginable
duress. Although everyone tried there were too many other children to attend to,
the materials dictated the style of teaching and the curriculum was aimed at the
lowest common denominator.
We knew the pitfalls of an inadequate
education, we saw the results all around us but until we found Susan nothing
seemed to work. What she did was 'three fold'. She assessed where our child was
without respect to her age, determined what she needed to learn, and delivered
the information in a way that it was learned. Our child gained four grades in
two years. To us the solution was simple, she found the best materials and she
taught it one on one. She listened to our concerns and respected our knowledge
of our child. We did have to ensure that there were after school and weekend
social activities in order for our child to have other children to play with,
but that seemed the appropriate time for her to play with them to us. Susan has
a complete school room setup with one
computer for each child and as much or more educational material at her
disposal.
Our recommendation is equally simple,
if you want a better education for your child than what you are currently
getting talk to Susan.
Susan Kidd is an excellent
tutor for our elementary school daughter. She has been available and willing to
help in all subjects when requested. She has many effective resources available
for math instruction including computer programs in the form of games, as well
as traditional cards and tricks. She provides hints and tips useful for quick
reference during testing and daily homework. Susan has a knack for reaching our
daughter at frustration points and is patient, understanding and very
encouraging. Our daughter always wants to consult Susan when she gets stuck
while doing her homework.

When I found myself in a
very tight situation with my daughter, trying to help her to do homework through
her tears, and I realized it wasn't working, and fearful that she would fall
behind in school, I sought out a math tutor. Through word of mouth from another
